Our solution was to create a bespoke kitchen within a shipping container, which would be highly transportable, self-contained and would have the capability to be up and running within an hour of placement.
Kitchen construction work started in July 2016, with the new shipping container kitchen being fully operational in October 2016.
In accordance with the Land Rover BAR team's sustainability goals, we have designed a kitchen system which includes a number of carbon footprint reduction features, including lighting, refrigeration and water pre-heat.
David Burns, Managing Director at On-Site Kitchen Rentals Ltd commented on working with Land Rover BAR, saying,
"It was with great delight this project was awarded to our company and I am sure we succeeded due to our ability to listen to the detailed brief to create a unique kitchen facility in a potentially testing environment.
The use of our temperature control system for preparation and refrigeration areas and choosing British manufactured appliances makes the whole project a fantastic export success story."
David has generously offered to travel to Bermuda for any installation site works, should he be required.

Land Rover BAR was awarded £6.5 million of government funding to support the team as they sail to bring the America's Cup to the UK. The announcement took place at 10 Downing Street in the presence of the then Prime Minister, David Cameron.
Commenting on Sir Ben Ainslie's project, Mr Cameron said,
"Sir Ben Ainslie's project is truly fantastic news for Portsmouth and the Solent. It will not only build on Portsmouth's global reputation as a centre of marine and maritime excellence, but will also deliver a real sporting and economic boost to the UK. It is a great example of our long-term plan - creating jobs as well as opportunities for young people to develop their skills through apprenticeships."
Land Rover BAR team principal and four times Olympic gold medallist Sir Ben Ainslie shared David Cameron's excitement on the prospect of creating new jobs, saying,
"The project has the potential to bring significant economic and sporting benefits to the UK, particularly for Portsmouth and the wider Solent area. A recent report on Team New Zealand suggested that its base in Auckland created 1,000 jobs and brought an $88million boost to the local economy."
Our kitchen will be sailing along with the Land Rover BAR team to take residence at the planned Louis Vuitton America's Cup village, which will reside within Bermuda's Royal Naval Dockyard.
The Louis Vuitton America's Cup village will be the heart of the 35th America's Cup, where competitors and spectators will enjoy state of the art facilities, events, and concerts and of course experience the competition surrounded by the beautiful islands and beaches of Bermuda.
The America's Cup qualifiers begin on 26th May, 2017 and the defending champions Oracle Team USA will race with the top challengers from 17th June, 2017.
